In this session the inimitable Carl Franklin demonstrates what happens when
programmers have too much time on their hands. He plays his baby grand piano, in
Connecticut, through the Internet using a home-made MIDI library and Sockets.
You'll also see how some surprisingly odd devices can be used as input
controllers for your applications. It's a guaranteed good time!
3:20-4:35 PM - Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Applications in the Real
World by Ken Spencer
Ken has been hard at work the last year writing real world WPF applications.
He is going to share his experiences on how to deliver a world class WPF
development project.
4:45-6:00 - Surface Applications in the Real World by Tim Huckaby and Dr Peter
Kuhn of Scripps
Peter and Tim demonstrate the Surface application that was written to aid in
cancer research for the Scripps Institute. This is the presentation that
Pater and Tim took on the road with Steve Ballmer and really shows off the way
cool capabilities of the Surface Platform. Come see the future of
interface design that will be first embodied with Windows 7.0.
